   Cheryl Kay Hoefler’s book, Beginning Steps for    Learning at Home and at School: a Parent Guide-a   Teacher Tool, was born out of a need she saw for    her students and their parents to know what is    expected to be learned in kindergarten.  As a    result of this book she was even more aware of the    classroom goals and expectations for herself and    other teachers.

   Cheryl Kay used her book two years in her own    kindergarten classroom with about 45 families. 

   Cheryl Kay Hoefler’s book was published February    2005.  It is now in a second printing and also in    Spanish.
